…and was wondering if these free gas cards are legit? What’s the deal? Are there any hidden catches. It seems a bit too good to be true. Interested to know if anyone has tried these and actually received one. Times are tough, so hey, looking for all the savings I can get.

My grandmother and I joined a fitness center in February of this year. The contract term is 20 months. The fee is $59.00 per month. With the signed contract that we have, we were given a “special price”. The special price was the $59.00 per month, BUT we are suppose to receive “free gas and groceries” until our contract ended. As of today, the company that we should receive our gas and grocery gift cards from went bankrupt. Should we be able to break our contract with our fitness center since that was the only reason we joined? We were suppose to pay only $10.00 a month, after our $25 in gas and $25 in groceries. Is it possible to break this contract without paying since they never “lived up to their end of the deal”? We haven’t received any of the free gas or groceries that we were suppose to so now we are $250 short of what we should have. We haven’t received a single penny. What can we do? The money is taken out of my bank account every month and I don’t want to tell the bank they can’t take the money because I don’t want them to try to sue me. Please help!!
I talked to the owner of the company today and he says I have no legal right to end the contract. He is not a pleasant person to be around. He fired an employee for a reason I would rather not say. He ended up calling her husband threatening their family, and ended up going to jail over it. I want to avoid “conflict” being 35 weeks pregnant! Just thought I would add that as well. Thanks for everyone’s help!

Ok, you know that auto companies are worrying about losing money due to lack of selling SUV’s etc. Do you think that it would be a good idea if companies reimbursed customers for their used vehicles and then reuse the parts to make more compact cars. I see it as the companies will save money buying used resources instead of new from foreign countries, keep the customers they had who hocked their unwanted cars so that they buy the compact, customers gets money back, and more jobs are created to meltdown unwanted cars to make new compact cars.

The car companies could also make the new car with used steel into hybrid cars and sell them as a new marketing promotion of a go green campaign. Also the car companies can use the gas in the unwanted cars to give to the car salesmen as a ensentive to sell the new cars. Ex: They sell 15 cars or more they get free gas for a month with gift cards.

I don’t see any negatives except that it would be expensive at 1st to reimburse customers.
