Free Laptop?
sparkler asked:
I have heard of freelaptopnation.com and was wondering if anyone has used them to get the laptop. You buy some of their advertised stuff and then they send you a laptop. Right now they have the laptop and free $200.00 gas card. I am tempted cos they things I can buy are like 12 bucks and 15 bucks. Please advise if this is a good idea and if you have done it how it went down.
thanks
thanks all, I too thot its too good to be true, and like they say, when the deal is too good think twice. I am glad most of y’all think its a scam like I thot…thx for the confirmation

Free laptop. More like free scam which it is. No one would pay 1000 dollars for one if you could get it for free.

“Shoot the bunny and get a free laptop!*”
Giving Hope’s answer to this statement: Shoot the bunny and get a free virus!
Notice the asterisk (*) after “laptop!”.

It’s a scam!!!
You’ll never get your laptop and you’ll start to get tons of spam and junk mail
If you get super lucky you might get an etch a sketch, not
July 2nd, 2009 at 7:31 am
NO!!! all that is, is just junk mail. And you have to answer so many questions, and then they want you to buy something else too.

no, they are just a scam, read the fine text, no one gets comptuers for free that are $1000 or so
July 4th, 2009 at 5:57 am
They won’t send you the laptop. Especially if you only spend like $12. How do you spose they make their money? by giving you a $200 voucher for $12? They’d loose a lot! It’s a Scam basically. Read the fine print.

if everyone can buy a product of theirs with 15 bucks and then get a free laptop they would close down for bankruptcy, this is just a new marketing strategy theye’re using to trick people, so buy their products only if you really need them, otherwise youll only be another tricked customer

umm.. im not so sure maybe its like some sort of scam i suggest u dont do it
July 11th, 2009 at 10:06 pm
yap they are not scamms like Freexbox360.com you have to qualify with like 4 platnum offiers and 3 gold and 2 silver and they send ya a vouger . now the cost of the services may be alot . some are Netflix and you ahve to hold it for 6 month contract . soe you ahve to qualify for a CC at a high rate and so on. 80% of the time its not worth it unless you need the products they offer . o ya and take up to 6months after your last qualifycation goes through beacuse every company has to send the site your using the vogue slips saying you completes the offers

BELIEVE ME!
You don’t want to try this. I have gone through many of these sites thinking that it’ll all pay off and I’ll have a free computer coming in the mail. I signed up for numerous services, and many didn’t even give you credit even though you PAID in full with a credit card. All together I spent about $400, and wheres my free computer? No where to be found. You have to have friends sign up for the service, and you think they’re willing to shell out money? No, and its not worth it to lose friends. Worst of all, they give you a time limit. When the time limit is up, you lose your chance to get the supposedly free product.
Another thing, don’t sign up for “Free Trials”. They ask you for your credit card information. Once the trial is up, no problem right? Wrong, they’ll start charging. Thats a type of scam, and thats why they need your credit card information in order to use their service.
It isn’t worth it, spread the word. The more people don’t sign up for this crap, the more companies will go out of business with their genius scams.
Just find better ways to make money off of people legally and you can buy an even better notebook. I now want to go into the business field, should’ve invested in that $400.

There was a ver very similar site to this not too long back called this site was a scam and took a lot of peoples money, google that name and see if anything relevant to your question pops up. This site was mainly advertised on ebay, with such auctions as “get a laptop for $10″, hope this helps.

Some of these are worthwhile, but almost all of them are just bad deals. The gas card might be worth it though, as they can’t really cut corner the same way with those.

Freelaptopnation, is a legitmate site. Basically when you get those emails with different websites they are usually the same company just different gifts. Basically what you do is complete a set required number of offers. You usually will know that a site is legit if you can check your status, and I know for sure this website has a link right at the bottom to do that.
When you do these sites though you have to be very organized and keep track of all of your confirmation emails, and charges, because you will need these later as proof to redeem your gift. Also another word of advice when doing these sites is to always read the terms and conditions (which is something you should ALWAYS do) Also read the terms and conditions of the offers that you want to do.
I will admit that the process can take anywhere from 2-4 mos. but the pay off of course is the free gift, which in your case is a laptop and $200. I actually was going to do that site, but found a better one with less offer requirements.
There is plenty of information floating around the internet about the freebie industry. I’ll even be generous and provide a link for you, but the rest of the research is up to you to find out if you are serious about it…yahoo and google are your best friends.
Goodluck!
