Here’s my finances.any suggestions?
Letslearn asked:
I’m just a few years out of college so don’t be too tough on me.
First I take home $2,865 every two weeks, I bought a house this past summer, I paid 275 for it and put down 105K and borrowed $170K..my P.I.T.I is $1,490. I don’t have a car payment, I drive a ‘96 Toyota with 210K miles and looks and runs great. I am buying about $600 a Month in furniture (cash) because I really didn’t have any to fill my 4 bdr, 3 ba, family room home. I do have 80K in avaiable credit in credit cards all with zero balances, I use them for free gas, airline tickets and cash back and never pay a cent in interest, I save $1100per Month in savings and 650 in long term savings S/B/I. I just now got to the point where I have 6 Months of income saved like the experts say to do. Utilities are around 360 per month, food about $410 per Month. I get enough free gas cards so I never pay for gas, $275 misc expences. So spend $4885 & make
$5730.

When you get a new car, buy a slightly USED car, and pay CASH for it.
Pay off your house while putting at least 15% into retirement.

I think it all sounds fine and really sounds like you have your head on your shoulders, yeah theres not a whole lot left after your expenses but you already added in savings and misc expenses. It seems like you added in everything. I think it would be smart to wait to get the new car to, but you have everything that you should have and savings, which is very important. Good Luck to you, Casey:)

Find something cool that appeals to you! If you finance, make it as short of a note as you can stand. Looks like you have planned very well!

Think about retirement Roth IRA, 401K unless you are already doing so. If you are in your 20s and start a Roth right now and contribute 4000 a year until you are 65 you will have over a million when you retire. Live it up have some fun.

well done. that’s how good men should be. don’t get a car yet. get a lady first if you haven’t got one yet. find one who could make u even a better man. if you got the new car i guess you will attract more materialistic girl. you know how that kind of girl do to get what they want. men easily lose to women in some very obvious area. and materialistic women are expert in that area. but it is your life. your doing good. i suppose you deserved a new car.
