If the government is in the mood to throw away money, how about if they pay off the american credit card debt ?
kenneth l asked:
it would stimulate the economy. the banks would get about 80 billion dollars. americans could use their freed up income to pay for mortgages, gas, etc. And we would be freed from the 20-30% interest that the government allows them to assess us.

It will get bad but I don’t know how bad. Type in the box of you tube.com Nwo secret meeting exposed martial law plan leaked 2008 or secret session of the house of Representatives. Get ready get lots of food by gold and silver get lots of water . Better safe then sorry. I found the court sessions held before the secret session held in march 18 of 2008. America on ALERT!

You can’t be serious. They get that money, to pay off our credit cards, from us. How would that stimulate anything?

That would be nice, but the government is broke. Unfortunately, no one will say this until after the election.

The American government has no money for debt repayment. It is corporate america that is the driver.
Additionally, it would not please the wall street greedy. It’s all about money. The tax paying public will never benefit from the BAILOUT WHICH WAS A SELLOUT BY CORPORATE AMERICA.

Not a bad idea, but too many people would just run up their debt again. Besides that’s sort of what Bush was trying to do with those tax credits we all got. That didn’t help any.
But that 700 billion might go a lot farther than that 600 most of us got, at least if it were given to the working class, not the welfare class or the wealthy. I know some people would freak about not giving extra cash to the poor, but they’re living off of shell-outs already. Plus they need incentive to get out. And then why not the rich? They don’t need it.
Maybe the CEOs and any other execs of a company that gets this bail-out dough needs to take a major pay cut. We don’t give out welfare to any rich dude that says he’s in trouble financially.
