Question about debit card?

I use a debit card all the time at this gas station and it never ask me for my pin … i just put the card in the slot and it takes it like within 2 seconds but doesn’t ask for my pin # so anyway i pump the gas like $78 bucks and then i check my bank account online and when i look at the statement it will say VISA SHELL $1.00 and that’s it never the cost of what i paid .. this is been going on for weeks now do you think they are charging me credit? I dont mind the free gas but i don’t know whats going on??????

Sounds like they are charging it as a credit purchase and you’ll get a bill. Even if they aren’t it doesn’t sound like a bad deal to get free gas.

You don’t get a bill when you use a debit card.
I’m not sure what is going on, but are you using your card as credit or debit?
