What is so hard about paying off your credit card balance every month?
coronakidcacher asked:
I never understand why people think using credit cards is the sure fire way to go into debt. I’ve been using credit cards now for over 20 years and I have always made sure to pay off the balance every month. Not only is it very convenient, but I get tons of free perks as well. I get 5% off of my gas, 3% off at all restaurants, free rewards, etc. I pay for EVERYTHING via credit card. I love the fact that fast food places are now accepting credit cards as well.

I also want to personally thank all the irresponsible folks that carry credit card balances. I wouldn’t get all the free perks I do if it wasn’t for you. Thanks!
What a bunch of whiners. I’ve lost many a job over the years but I STILL have enough money in the bank to pay off my credit cards. It’s called an emergency fund. Ever heard of it? I’m not saying there aren’t exceptions to the rule. I sympathize with people who go into debt for medical reasons and other dire situations but that’s the exception.

some people can’t feed their family. some people’s husband left them and now they’re destitute and use a credit card, with no way of paying it off. some people are pratically poor, but make too much money for financial assistance. credit card company find these people and use it against them
of course, some just love spending.
never judge someone, unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes

Some people’s roommates die and they have to not only pay to move, they have to pay an entire new security deposit right away, which causes them to not be able to pay.
Duh.

Why is it so hard for people like you to think everyone has the same life as you?

listen you can’t bash on everyone you carries around a balance. i just turned 21 with a 730 credit score and i dont carry around a balance either, i have credit cards totalong up to over 50000 in credit limit and im walking around with 0 balance at the end of every month because i only spnd what i know i have and i am determined to have the best credit score in the next 5 years. i cant stand when people open up credit scores with no means of paying them off when there bills come around and some have rough time paying there debts off. what happens if you finish making a big purchase and found out that you just lost your job, most likely when your bill comes in you wont be able to pay it in full.

If you don’t understand then maybe you should shut the hell up. You probably think you crap don’t stink either. Your life is so perfect right? GTF outta here!

I think you make an excellent point and I couldn’t agree more. What really bugs me is the fact that a lot of people live beyond their means and then whine and moan the fact that they can’t pay off their credit card every month.
Yes, there are unfortunate situations that force people to go into credit card debt but I think coronakidcacher has made it clear that he is not referring to these exceptions. Most people just do not know how to control their spending and are thus irresponsible when it comes to credit cards.
